101W Corruption Detected 1012
Problem: You try to to into the program and get a DBFNTX/1012 CORRUPTION detected error message.
Solution: Copy the indexes from another company into the the problem company and optimize the data to make the data match.
1. Make a complete backup of the entire C:\DOMEABC directory to either another hard drive or a CD. This will prevent the problem from getting any worse.
2. The error message will contain the name of the file that is corrupted ie: C:\DOMEABC\YOURCO\BUDDTE.NTX
- Close the error message
- Click on My Computer
- Click on Local Disk C
- Click on the folder DOMEABC
- Click on any subfolder (IE SAMPLE). Do not click on the folder that the problem data is in.
- Click on the menu options View/Details
- Click on the column heading Type
- Highlight all the files of type NTX.
- Click on edit/copy
- On the left side of the screen click on the folder for your company (YOURCO in our example)
- Click on Edit/Paste (this will prompt you to overwrite the files. Make sure you only copy the NTX files
- Go into the 101W
- Click on company/optimize. You must complete the optimize for the data to match your files.
